For any aspiring writers out there, would you please share a short bit of writing advice?
Write what you can’t stop thinking about, not what you think will sell. By the time your book is out that trend will have passed. Plus, the way to write the best book you can is to write what YOU are obsessed about. Passion bleeds through the lines.
What is the last book you raved about and what did you love about it?
Molly Molloy and the Angel of Death. It was unlike anything else I’ve ever read. The protagonist - Death - takes the wrong soul and inadvertently falls for the one he accidentally let live. It’s about what it means to be human - in all its joy and frustration and gnarly detail.
