A Conversation with Annabel Monaghan
A writing tip, book recommendation, and other great insights from Annabel that were not covered in our on-air interview, which you can WATCH or LISTEN to now!
For any aspiring writers out there, would you please share a short bit of writing advice?
My best advice is this — write the book that you’d love to read. Don’t research what’s trending and try to write that book, because by the time you write it, it won’t be trending anymore.
What is the last book you raved about and what did you love about it?
I loved A HAPPIER LIFE because of the way the romance and the mystery wove together so perfectly. I loved the timelessness of the family and the weight of the home. There was so much beauty in their history. I also loved THE HEIRLOOM by Jessie Rosen. It’s a story about a woman who’s proposed to with a vintage engagement ring, and she goes all over the world to track down (vet for good vibes) the prior owners. In the end she finds herself, and it’s really perfect.
What can you tell us about your work-in-progress?
