A Conversation with Jo Piazza
A writing tip, book recommendation, and other great insights from Jo that were not covered in our on-air interview!
For any aspiring writers out there, would you please share a short bit of writing advice?
My best advice is to get your butt in a seat. Writing is work just like anything else and if you have an idea or a story in you sit down and just get started. It is the only way to know if you can do it. Writing a novel (or anything really) is a muscle and it gets weak when you don't use it.
What is the last book you raved about and what did you love about it?
We All Want Impossible Things by Catherine Newman. It was a perfect short novel and for a small book was big in so many ways. I ugly cried well into the night reading it. I don't think I have ever had such an emotional reaction to a book and I buy it for all of my girlfriends because of how raw and honest it is in its celebration of female friendship.
What can you tell us about your work-in-progress?
