Tune in TONIGHT to watch this week’s episode!
Join us Wednesday, January 31st at 7pm Eastern on the F&F Facebook page and YouTube channel with hosts Patti Callahan Henry and Kristy Woodson Harvey as they welcome this week’s guest, award-winning, bestselling author Jennifer Moorman, to hear all about her new novel, THE MAGIC ALL AROUND, which is a treasure hunt through the past that reveals one woman’s extraordinary gift for arranging the future.
Jennifer is the author of the Mystic Water Series, which includes the reader favorite, The Baker’s Man. A southern Georgia native, Jennifer once toured the US for 5 years as a singer-songwriter with a full band. A Harry Potter fanatic, she considers herself a traveler, an amateur baker, and a dreamer who can always be won over with chocolate, unicorns, or rainbows. Tune in to hear about the inspiration behind her new novel, her writing life, her baking, and of course, magic!

Latest News from the Fab Four!
PATTI CALLAHAN HENRY has spent the week on a getaway with her family and catching up on reading! These are precious days when the grown kids spend the week of downtime! She also can’t wait for you to meet Jennifer Moorman tonight and Amy Jo Burns next week! They are incredible, wise, and so fun!
What Patti is reading and why she’s loving it: A Happier Life by Kristy Woodson Harvey. This is such an immersive, smart and wonderful read! The perfect escape that also makes me think about all that’s important in my life.
MARY KAY ANDREWS is knee-deep in planning the March 9th fun(d)raiser for the scholarship her family endowed in her late daughter Katie’s name at the parochial school she and her children attended. Watch her social media for an opportunity to bid on a Zoom meeting with MKA for your book club (plus twelve free copies of her upcoming book) with proceeds going to the scholarship. Or if you’re in the Atlanta area, come out and join the team trivia fun.
What MKA is reading and why she’s loving it: The Truth About the Devlins by Lisa Scottoline. Nobody writes legal thrillers—wrapped around a domestic thriller—like my pal Lisa. This time around the story is told by TJ Devlin, the black sheep son of a family of successful attorneys. This one is keeping me awake at night!
KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY is so excited about this year's Friends and Fiction subscription box that A HAPPIER LIFE will be included in! Have you seen the details yet? Find out more info here! She had a great weekend with her family in the beautiful weather and is gearing up for the paperback launch for THE SUMMER OF SONGBIRDS.
What Kristy is reading and why she’s loving it: Until Next Summer by Ali Brady because summer camp is on the brain and I am loving this nostalgic and feel good read!
KRISTIN HARMEL loved volunteering at the Scholastic Book Fair at her son Noah’s school last week; it’s such a joy to see kids getting excited about reading. She’s on the home stretch with the edited first draft of her 2025 novel, and she’s excited to be able to share more news about it soon.
What Kristin is reading and why she’s loving it: The Queen’s Faithful Companion by Eliza Knight (coming 6/11/24). Royalty AND corgis?? What’s not to love about this book? It’s told from the viewpoints of three main characters: the keeper of the royal dogs; young Queen Elizabeth herself; and (best of all) Susan, one of the queen’s beloved corgis. My mom had a corgi named Duke whom we all loved very much–in fact, I suspect that Eliza has written the book my mother has always wished I would write! This historical tale is all the more delightful because of Eliza’s decision to include corgi Susan– given to Elizabeth on her 18th birthday–as one of the viewpoint characters; the dog witnesses Elizabeth’s WWII service, her romance with Philip, the death of her father, her accession to the throne, and more. I’m loving it, and if you’ve ever loved a dog, this book will capture your heart, too.
